Carbis Bay Hotel Wedding | Jane & John

2nd July, 2013Jane & John booked us blind under recommendation for their "Carbis Bay Hotel" wedding and I'm so glad that they did. You know when you first meet someone and you automatically click, well it was like that when Tamsyn and I finally met up with Jane & John on Mothersday. We started off meeting John and the boys in St.Ives for a boys photo shoot.
Then we headed to Carbis Bay Hotel to catch up with the girls getting ready where the lovely Suzi Winter was doing the make up and the girls hair was getting done by Jane's hairdresser she brought down from her home town in Hertfordshire.
Jane chose a beautiful but probably one of the heaviest dresses I've ever picked up, a "Maggie Sottero" gown for the day.
None of the bridesmaids had ever laced up Jane's dress but the ever faithful and hard working Victoria the events manager from Carbis Bay was on hand to get Jane in the dress.
Jane & John's favourite place on the planet is Godrevy so went for The Godrevy Room for their ceremony because of the views, even though they had seventy plus guests at their wedding so poor John couldn't fit back down the isle next to John. It was such a lovely day we headed straight outside for Pimms and group photos on the beach, and then obviously a few shots of the two of them.
Just before the guest sat I popped in to get some shots of the room set up and found this wonderful cake by "Cakes By Design" and I have to say even though it looked really beautiful it tasted even better, especially the green Baileys tier!
After the wedding breakfast there was only ever one place we were going to go for the couple photos and that was Godrevy.
And then it was time to head back for the first dance.
And the second one too... 500 miles by the Pogues!
Jane & John are such a lovely couple, it was a real pleasure being involved with their day. And John, despite what they say, it's not all about the bride, it was your day too! ;0)
