3rd May, 2012We covered Annette and Declans Carbis Bay wedding in St.Ives
It was a beautiful day in March and with Annette coming from Zimbabwe and Declan from Ireland, this was always going to be a flavorsome wedding. We got a few shots of the boys in St.Ives before heading to the hotel to meet Annette and get some shots of her getting ready.
Sally did a beautiful job of the make up but my heart went out to poor Zoe West doing the hair, she didn't get to start the last part of Annettes hair until 12:50pm and the service was due to start at 1pm at Lelant church. But Zoe certainly rose to the occasion and also did a great job.
Victoria the event manager at Carbis Bay Hotel bless her managed to push all the hotel timings back by half an hour. And I drove the bridesmaids to the church so between us we managed to get things back on track.
It was a beautiful ceremony with great spirits. After the ceremony we got a lot of the group shots done behind the church with the lovely sea views, but got a few of all the little bridal party members at the church doorway.
On arrival back to Carbis Bay we popped down to the beach to get a few more group shots and one or two of Annette and Declan too.
As usual at Carbis Bay, the food was beautiful, the wine was flowing and the spirits were high. And the speeches were excellent. And a good time was had by all, well, Declan may have gone pale a bit during his brothers (the bestman) speech.
All in all was was a wonderful day, enjoyed by all. This is what Annette and Declan thought:
Khalile and Tamsyn just did our wedding photos and were are delighted with the results. Not only were they an absolute pleasure to have around on the day, helping out with lots of little things that needed doing and anticipating our needs, but the actual photos themselves are stunning and will provide us with ever-lasting reminders of the best day of our lives. I would really recommend them as a wedding photography team.
