FLAVA & Forget Me Not Charity workshop

1st March, 2011We've helped St.Austell based Forget-Me-Not Charity (Who help families cope with stillborns and miscarriages) before in the past donating our photographic services, but when Jenny told me about the dance workshop she was putting on with FLAVA for kids to learn a routine and put on a show I didn't really know what to expect.
Having seen a fair few films involving hip hop growing up with loads of characters with bad attitudes and all wanting to "Bus-a-Cap" I did have a few trepidations. How wrong could I get. FLAVA (Who got to the semi finals in "Britain's Got Talent" in 2008) were such a nice and well rounded bunch, and I don't think I've scene a young group of individuals have such a natural rapport with kids. They travel the country working with local Police forces and schools to help kids build their self confidence. After arriving at the event and meeting a 6 year old doing back flips and his 9 year old brother doing it without using his hands I knew these guys were definitely doing something right and I was in for a treat.
