7th June, 2019Oh Khalile, It was a real pleasure sharing our day with you. You were professional, approachable and helpful from start to finish. We feel as though you captured our incredible day along with the atmosphere perfectly, and only added to the overall fun by being there! I'm so glad we met you :) .... You've blown us away to be honest. Surpassed all expectations. Thank you. A million times. X
Liza and Nick enquired with me about being their Pengenna Manor wedding photographer after receiving a recommendation from the venue they'd chosen to have their wedding breakfast at, the beautiful St.Enodoc Hotel in Rock.
My day started with meeting Liza in her room at St.Enodoc hotel where she was getting ready. When I arrived she was alone, already in her dress and raring to go. Prior to entering the hotel I took a scene setting shot of the front, and managed to capture Liza in her room patiently waiting (top left windows).
It was a small wedding of only 22 guests in total and so Liza not wanting bridesmaids opted to have her two nieces looking like a gorgeous pair of cherubs in dusty pink dresses. But Liza went for something with a lot more drama, choosing a stunning 'Watters Dress' which she bought from 'Dress Me Pretty' and had the help of Chloe her hair stylist from Carbon 50 to help get into her gown. Finishing her look with flowers from 'Jane Lawrence'.
For her transportation Liza chose an elegant white Jaguar to take her and her mother the twenty minute drive to Pengenna Manor curtesy of 'Love Weddings Cornwall'.
Originally the plan was to have the wedding ceremony outside at Pengenna, but soon after arrival the forecasted rain soon arrived, and so despite the scene being set for and outside ceremony the decision was made to have it in the manor house.
I've been to Pengenna on numerous occasions but this was my first ceremony inside the house there, and it worked really well. It was such a lovely ceremony seeing so many beaming faces around the room.
It was dry when Liza and Nick first left the house but by the time they'd crossed over the square the showers were back and so we went inside the threshing barn for drinks and canapés.
Then for about two hours it was a case of dodge the showers to get some photos outside in the beautiful grounds at Pengenna.
If you look closely, in some of the photos you can see the rain coming down, but it didn't dampen anyones spirits.
And then it was time to make our way back to Rock.
The rest of the guests made their way straight to the hotel, but Liza and Nick came with me down to the estuary for a few couple shots.
And individual ones too.
Both with the car and without.
With a bit of veil action thrown in too.
Before heading back to the car.
And joining their waiting guests at St.Enodoc Hotel, rounding my time off with our happy group with the emergence of a rainbow on my departure.
Dearest Liza and Nick, I'm so glad you chose me as your wedding photographer and considered my suggestions when we chatted about how to get the most from your midweek wedding, opting for longer coverage. I hope you appreciated the honest advice and feel the photos reflect the true atmosphere and emotions of the day. It was a real honour being part of your very special day.
